Hi! I'm Bekah.
The love of art has been with me since I was a little girl. From the moment I was able to hold a crayon in my hand a coloring book was never too far from my side. I loved pencil drawing and learned shading by sketching my pets or stuffed animals. As I grew older and discovered computers, my love for traditional art transformed into a love for manipulating fonts and layouts.
I graduated in 2006 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Digital Design from Southeastern Louisiana University. During college, I worked for a small print shop where I enjoyed getting hands on with an old printing press. I’ve been a freelance graphic designer since 2004. I have produced work all over the US and am known for bartering with other small businesses. I started an Etsy shop in 2011 creating invitations and party decorations. In 2016, I was offered an opportunity to follow a different path of my field as an adjunct instructor at Louisiana State University teaching Visual Communication at the Manship School.
My studio and office is in my home that I share with my family in the Prairieville/Baton Rouge area. Being a work at home mother has been an incredible journey and a blessing. There is nothing like witnessing a child grow, learn, and change every single day, while also pursuing my passion in the field of design.
